Keyword search can cover multiple available jurisdictions when your account has access to them.
Jurisdictions
Choose the states, administrative bodies, and federal courts you want to search.
On the home page
The jurisdiction rail sits at the bottom of the search box. Use it to choose the state or states your keyword search should cover before you press Search.
Turning on AI collapses the picker to one jurisdiction, so the answer or assisted search stays focused on one jurisdiction.
The picker shows which state sources you can include in a search.
On the database page
Already looking at results? Open Jurisdiction, click Edit, and change the scope without rebuilding the rest of your search.
Changing jurisdiction updates the available results. Other filters narrow the decisions within your selection.
A saved search keeps the jurisdiction, query, and filters together so re-running it returns to the same scope.
On the database page, federal courts are selected inside the same jurisdiction picker, under each state’s card.
Set jurisdictions
Open the jurisdiction picker to select the states and courts you want to search.
