ISSUES:
1. Did the Board offer an appropriate program for the 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018- 19 school years including the 2017 and 2018 extended school years?
2. If not, is residential placement at Perkins school the appropriate program for the Student for the 2018-19 school year and should the board be ordered to place the Student at Perkins School for the 2018-19 school year?
3. Is the Student entitled to compensatory education?
PROCEDURAL HISTORY/SUMMARY:
The Parents brought the initial Due Process Complaint and Hearing Request on April 10, 2019. The Hearing Officer was appointed on April 11, 2019. A Prehearing Telephone Conference took place on April 22, 2019.
The initial hearing was scheduled for June 14, 2019.
On June 8, 2019, the Parents’ attorney notified the Hearing Officer that the parties had settled the matter and that the Parents were withdrawing their request for hearing with prejudice.
FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:
The matter is DISMISSED
