ISSUE:

Was the Board correct in refusing parent’s request for an Independent Educational Evaluation, because the multidisciplinary evaluation conducted by the Bolton Public School staff was appropriate?

PROCEDURAL HISTORY AND SUMMARY:

On September 6, 2013, Parents received a Request for a Special Education Due Process Hearing filed by the Bolton Board of Education. The undersigned hearing officer was appointed on September 5, 2013. The deadline for the mailing of a final decision and order was established as October 21, 2013. On September 22, 2013, a prehearing conference was held during which the ' parties indicated the matter had been settled and a written withdrawal would be forthcoming. On September 23, 2013, Attorney for the Board withdrew its hearing request.

FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:

In light of the above facts, the case is dismissed.
