The prehearing conference in this matter was held on January 24, 2007. Both parties were represented by counsel who participated. The issues included appropriate speech and language programming and private placement. Dates for hearing were selected. The student agreed to an extension of the date for mailing of the final decision to accommodate the scheduling issues of the parties and their mutual desire to pursue mediation. The parties requested and were granted a continuance of the first day of hearing to continue their settlement negotiations and were ultimately successful in resolving the matter.
FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:
The hearing is dismissed without prejudice.
