PROCEDURAL HISTORY:
The matter was assigned on August 15, 2001. The original date for the mailing of the final decision and order was September 28, 2001. Prehearing conferences were held on August 22, 2001, and on September 10, 2001. On September 13, 2001, the Parent's attorney requested an enlargement of time for the mailing of the deadline for mailing the final decision and order, which request for extension to October 30, 2001, was granted by the Hearing Officer. The hearing was convened on October 9, 2001, at which time the parties stated on the record that they were near to reaching a settlement agreement. No further communication from either party has been received by the Hearing Officer since October 9, 2001.
FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:
This matter is DISMISSED without prejudice.
