PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND:
The Student is entitled to receive a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment as defined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (“IDEA”) §20 U. S. C. 1401 et seq. and Connecticut General Statutes §10-76a et seq. The Parents filed the Due Process Hearing Complaint on February 3, 2020. The Hearing Officer was appointed on February 3, 2020. A Pre-Hearing conference was held on March 9, 2020 and mailing date of the final memorandum of decision was set for May 18, 2020. Hearing Dates were scheduled for April 20, 2020 and April 21, 2020. On April 14, 2020, given the closure of the schools until May 20, 2020, the parties’ motion for an extension of the mailing date of the final memorandum of decision for thirty days to June 18, 2020 was granted. Thereafter, the parties’ motion to further extend the mailing date of the final memorandum of decision for ninety days to September 18, 2020 was granted. The parties reported the matter resolved on September 4, 2020. The Parents withdrew their complaint on September 4, 2020.
FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:
The case is DISMISSED.
