ISSUES:

The following issues have been identified for determination at the hearing:

1. Is the Board of Education’s evaluation of March 12, 2019 appropriate?

2. Should the Board of Education re-evaluate the Student in the area of executive functioning without parental consent?

PROCEDURAL HISTORY:

The Board of Education initiated this special education due process case on July 10, 2019. This Impartial Hearing Officer was assigned to the case on July 11, 2019. A Prehearing Conference was scheduled for July 26, 2019.

On July 25, 2019, the Student’s parent withdrew the request for an independent educational evaluation. As a consequence, the Board of Education requested that this matter be dismissed.

FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:

The Board of Education’s request is granted and the matter is dismissed.
