ISSUES:

1. Did the Westport Board of Education fail to provide Student with a Free and Appropriate Public Education for the 2018-19 school year?

2. Should the Board be required to reimburse Parents for their unilateral placement of Student at Riverview School?

3. Should the Board be required to provide compensatory services to the Student for the 2018-19 school year?

PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND:

Counsel for the Student filed this Request for Due Process Hearing on July 27, 2018. The Hearing Officer was assigned on July 30, 2018. A Prehearing Conference was scheduled, and held on August 15, 2018, at which hearing dates were set. Counsel reported that mediation had been scheduled for this matter. A hearing was set for September 17, 2018. On September 13, 2018 the parties informed the Hearing Officer that they had reached an agreement as a result of that mediation and requested the matter be dismissed.

FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:

The case is DISMISSED without prejudice.
