ISSUES:

1. Was the Hartford Board of Education’s decision at the March 29, 2018 Planning and Placement Team to exit the Student from special education services a denial of FAPE?

2. If the Student was denied FAPE, what testing or evaluations are necessary to allow the Student to be provided with FAPE?

PROCEDURAL HISTORY/SUMMARY:

The Parent filed the Due Process Complaint and Request for Hearing on April 16, 2018. The Hearing Officer was appointed on April 17, 2018. The Parent was away for some time and a Prehearing Conference was scheduled for May 16, 2018. A second Prehearing Conference was held on May 21, 2018. The parties agreed to a hearing date for June 14, 2018. The Hearing Officer was notified on June 11, 2018 an agreement had been reached and the Parent was withdrawing her due process complaint.

FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:

The matter is DISMISSED without prejudice.
