ISSUE:
Are the Parents entitled to an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) at public expense?
PROCEDURAL HISTORY/SUMMARY:
The Board filed the Due Process Complaint and Request for Hearing on April 3, 2018. The Hearing Officer was appointed on April 4, 2018. A Prehearing Conference was held on April 23, 2018. A hearing date was noticed for June 15, 2018 and a postponement was requested for mediation. A thirty-day extension was granted. On July 12, 2018, the Parents’ counsel emailed the hearing officer and advised that the Parents withdrew their IEE request at this time. The Board withdrew the due process request.
FINAL DECISION AND ORDER:
In light of the above, the matter is DISMISSED.
